2. Abstract Submission Guidelines

  • Deadline: January 30, 2025
  • Length: 250-300 words
  • Format: Typed in single space, Tahoma font size 12
  • Content: Clearly indicate alignment with the conference themes
  • Submission: Upload abstracts at icscbe.wsu.ac.za/icscbe/submissions.php

3. Guidelines for Paper Submissions

  • Title: Provide a concise and informative title (max 21 words).
  • Abstract: Well-crafted summary highlighting objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
  • Introduction: Establish background, knowledge gap, and objectives.
  • Literature Review: Review current literature (within 5 years) and state the problem.
  • Methods: Briefly describe research design, data collection, and analysis.
  • Results: Summarize the main findings.
  • Conclusion and Recommendations: Summarize implications, contributions, and suggestions.
  • Formatting and Style: Use Harvard referencing.
  • Text: Microsoft Word, single-spaced, 12pt Tahoma.
  • Length: 5000-6000 words maximum.
  • Language and Style: Clear, concise, formal.
  • Structure: Use an unstructured abstract with logical sections.
  • Keywords: Up to six keywords.

  • Each invoice: Caters for only one person hence you have to all register to confirm your attendance.

    Paper Presentations and Workshops

    • Paper Presentations: 20 minutes (15 for presentation, 5 for Q&A)
    • Workshops: 60 minutes (45 for presentation, 15 for Q&A)

    Conference Publications

    Presenting authors must register and pay the fee to present. The Scientific Committee accepts a maximum of two presentations per delegate. All accepted papers will be published in the proceedings (ISBN: 978-0-7961-7042-2, DOI) and submitted for indexation.

    Accommodation, Travel and Visa Information

    Traveling to East London: Direct local flights from Johannesburg are available. International attendees should book a connecting flight after landing in a major South African city. For road travel, multiple accessible routes exist.

    Hotels and Accommodation: Delegates arrange their own accommodation. A list of local hotels/B&Bs will be provided. Transportation is the delegate's responsibility.
